From my earliest memory, I recall constantly moving and rearranging the furniture in my childhood home. I loved seeing how just shifting a few things around in a room could transform how it felt. I loved even more seeing the expression on my mom’s face, the appreciation for her “new room” without purchasing anything new. At age 15, I was discovered by Elite Model Management NY and was connected with an agency in Miami, where I began working until I finished high school.

At 17, I moved to NYC and within three months was living in Milan, Italy. From there, I embarked on what would become a full time modeling career that would take me around the globe on location and in studios, working with some of the most talented designers, photographers, stylists, makeup and hair stylists, set designers and clients in the world and span about 30 years of my life. These experiences contributed to my ability to adapt to a style, influenced by the many places I had been. From NY to LA, Florida to the mountains of Colorado, Italy, Spain, France, Greece, Morocco, Egypt, South Africa, South America, Asia and Australia, traveling to these amazing places have all influenced my personal style.

Eventually, I married the love of my life (also an ex model) and we settled down in Colorado where we opened  two boutiques, which were regularly recognized with accolades. We carried women’s & children’s clothing, accessories, furniture, bath, body and home decor. This experience deepened my passion for all aspects of fashion and design. As an owner, buyer and merchandiser  for the boutiques, I continued to refine my skills. Working directly with my customers in the store, I learned the importance of listening and building long lasting relationships. During that time, we added four children and two dogs to our family.

It was then that my style evolved yet again out of basic necessity.  I wanted to create a home for our family that had a soul. I wanted it to be curated, not decorated and that it would be a collection of items that represented our lives. My style, I hope, is a reflection of my life experiences and travels, collected, timeless, beautiful and inviting. I wanted our children to grow up in a home, that no matter the size, how much money we did or did not have, that it was filled with their art and personal photos and that it was bright and comfortable. A place where music always played and candles were lit. Where we always use our fine china and at the same time put our feet up on the white couches. I wanted a place that if the kids spilled, dented the furniture or if muddy paws ran across the carpet, it would be cleanable, fixable and not the end of the world. My goal was to have real life and design harmoniously coexist, creating a livable and effortless space that actually functioned. I truly believe our home reflects those qualities. We reside in “Perfect Imperfection” and I hope that everyone who comes into our home feels utterly enveloped in all that has been curated.
